Would you wear white pants after Labour Day?

I have a pair of Gap cropped jeans that happen to be white. They're STILL kind of big on me (I'm convinced it's a manufacturing flaw) and I have to constantly yank them up and/or fold down the waist band.

I know that it's technically OK to wear white after Labour Day, but I was raised that one doesn't, no matter what.

I thought about dying them, but I'm not willing to subject my new washer to the trial of black dye. Not to mention that I would have no clue as to how to do it in a front loader ;). I'm also worried about the jeans going black, but the polyester/lycra panel staying white. Nice visual, huh? :P

I'm kind of inclined to still wear them as long as it's over 70 degrees.

What do you think?

I say go for it! I remember seeing something on the Style network awhile back where they debunked a lot of fashion myths and one of them was the no white after Labor Day "rule" - if it's still hot (which I know it is in your neck of the woods! ;) ) then wear your white pants proudly - perhaps you'll start a trend! ;) Take care1

I say go for it, too. :-)

IMO since they are 1) cropped and 2) jeans that you have every right to wear them with the warm weather still around!

Don't dye them,,, wear them.

I concur. Besides, I think all fashion rules are all hold for pregnant women. How else could i get away with recycling through the same 7 shirts...

I've never really had any problems at all. In fact, I can usually get at least three wearings out of them before having to wash them again.

I would! I think that is an old "rule" anyway. I'm sure you would look adorable. :)
