    Default Merrell sandals

Does anyone own Merrell sandals and love them? I only wear flip flops in the summer and am having a hard time giving them up. I have been looking into Keens, since they seem so popular and comfortable, BUT there is just too much covering my foot. When I tried it on, the one that is closest to a flip flop (the name escapes me) just didn't feel secure enough on my foot for when I have to run after the kids. UGH! I saw a Merrell sandal/flip flop-type shoe on someone the other day and it looked cute. Of course, I cannot find the style on www.merrell.com tonight. I did come across this one though ~

Does anyone have this style or another Merrell that they love? I would probably be wearing them mostly with my denim skirt, capris, or track pants? I am kind of paranoid about having a "full" heavy-looking Keen-type shoe since, IMO, it accentuates my lovely varicose veins and swollen ankles/legs. Does that make sense? I want a supportive shoe that kind of "disappears" instead of draws attention to the foot with heavy fabrics and soles, I guess.

TIA (I hope). Sorry about the novel.

I like the way those Merrells look. I have Merrell Gardena sandals (there is a picture and a link on the link you provided) and I just love them. I like them because they seem a lot more delicate than many styles of "sensible shoes". (Incidentally I am also struggling with major swollen ankles and have a propensity to varicose veins, too) Honestly, I wear them with everything that I used to wear with my Roxy flips flops and I think they are pretty cute. I KNOW that they are comfortable and supportive which helps both my aching back and my aching feet. My MIL has several different styles of Merrells and swears by them.

I second the Gardena, and also recommend the Palmetto style, though those may cover more of your foot than you want. Both are extremely comfortable and I can wear them all day with no resulting back or foot pain.

Thank you so much, ladies, for your responses! I am still going to pursue the Merrell's, thanks to your posts. Last night, I went into The Walking Company, in the hopes of finding a good selection of Merrells, and the sales associate showed me Think! sandals. I tried them on without looking at the price tag and I WAS IN LOVE! This is the shoe: http://www.thewalkingcompany.com/Pro...oductID=276657 I also liked the "Chop" style but these were sooooo cute on (much cuter than the photo shows) and they were soooo comfortable. Then, I looked at the price and was floored! I've never spent $150 on shoes. Albiet, they'd be a good investment, as I wear my flip flops every day from April/May through October, it was a scary number. My mind hasn't strayed far from those shoes all night and day, except for the baby name dilemma. Soooo...long story short...I THANK YOU for recommending those two styles. I did try on the Palmettos and they were too much fabric but the Gardenas look interesting. I'll try to find those.

    Thank you!

    I LOVE MERRELLS!!!

I own about 4 pairs of their shoes.

You could figure out what size you are at a store and then order the style you like online.

Here is a Merrell thong sandal "Tremor" like a flip flop.

I live in my Chaco sandals all summer. They have amazing arch support. I have the black strappy ones and a pair of brown leather ones. They also make flipflops. I need tons of support in my shoes and these are great with minimal straps.

    Default THANK YOU!!!

THANK YOU, ladies! I was soooo set on the Think! shoes but I think that I will have to re-think my decision! :) Even with the great price on EBay, the Merrells would still be a better price than the Think!s.

    Thank you!
