Default should I use diaper depot on PNP?

Our PNP does not have the feature to store diaper, wipes, etc. I purchased the diaper depot to hang off on the side for these items but I am afraid the baby might break off the plastic. Anyone had this experience? I had considered the terry cloth organizer but this seemed too small and it doesn't really have a place for the wipes. We will be using our PNP as our downstairs bassinet and changing table. Thanks!

You definitely will need some way to organize your diaper changing items and, if you're like me, you may find that you use your downstairs changing table more than the one in the nursery. I wouldn't be concerned about your baby breaking off the plastic of the Diaper Depot. I have one on my PNP and my only problem with it is that DS is fascinated by all the items in it and wants to reach for them while I'm changing his diaper. The Diaper Depot is a decent organizer and holds a fair amount of diapers and a tub of wipes, which is key for me. The other organizational method that I've seen at friends' homes is a table of some sort (perhaps a TV tray) with a basket of diapers, a tub of wipes and various creams, etc. next to the PNP. I don't think that the terry organizer would work on the PNP because I'm not sure how you would attach it.

I got one too for my pnp because it didn't have an organzier. I love it. DD would like to grab at it but doesn't anymore because I would tell her no and redirect her to toys. I think it's great - we have diapers, wipes, diaper cream, qtips, thermometer, etc. in ours.

We have a Diaper Depot hanging off of DD's crib (seemed to be the most convenient place for us... no good way to hang it off our changing table) and like it quite a bit.

I'm confused about the concern of breaking plastic. How would the baby reach it? If you are using the PnP in basinnet or changing table mode, couldn't you just hang the organizer off the other side where the basinnet or table isn't?

Actually it fits best on the side where the bassinet is located b/c the other sides are curved on our PNP.

BTW, you can put in on the curved side if you put it at an angle toward the edge, but you're right, it fits best on one of the long sides.

We did exactly that - put the Diaper Depot on the side of our PNP (and it even had the pockets that were supposed to organize diapers but there was no way that it was going to work) and it worked PERFECTLY! We've never had an issue.

Eventually we moved to a different changing table because we're tall and the PNP was low and hard on our back, but the system was great! Now, on our wood changing table downstairs, we use the PBK diaper basket = the trick is to take diapers and stack them horizontally on the bottom until you make a pile high enough that you can rest a wipe tin on it and it is at the perfect height to pull the wipes out. Then, you have plenty of room to stack the diapers vertically in front of it, and rest your ointment on the side. We are always fully stocked and it's all in one neat place. I recommend either one, but DEFINITELY have an organized place and system! It makes life so much easier, especially when you are bleary eyed and changing your umpteenth diaper!
