RE: Pack N Play that has the best bassinet feature
I had the full bassinet and it was nice, however I think the 3/4 bassinet would be OK. The weight limit on the bassinet was 15 lbs, so I couldn't use that part as long as I had hoped, which is why I think the 3/4 would have been big enough.
Wanted to reiterate that the changing table would not be safe for the baby to sleep in.
As far as the brand name, it seems to me I've always seen the Graco having the best safety ratings.
I also wanted to mention that it is not necessarily imperative to get the baby into his/her own room and crib in the first few weeks. I got the impression (and I could very well be misunderstanding) that you would consider it "wrong" for the baby to stay in your room. I'm not trying to push any parenting methods on you, but you might want to keep an open mind about it and see what your baby's temperament is. I've seen so many people on these boards who said they were sure they would want the baby in it's own room and in the crib ASAP, but changed their minds when the reality of parenting hit. And a lot of people feel like they are "failing" because they went into it with that mindset, which is unfortunate because keeping the baby close is a great choice for a lot of parents.
Good luck to you! :)
