    Default Rug Burns?

My DD is 10 months old and cruising like a mad woman but she still does love to crawl. With the warm weather we're having in CA, DD has been in short all last week and hence the painful rug burns on her knees. We have carpet and so do does the homecare she's at all day but the nanny didn't think anything of it! I can't find thin pants and the long pants she's boiling in. Any suggestions?

OK, if you are in the house and will not be seen... When my ds was that age we made little knee pads out of our old socks. We just cut off the foot and pulled the sock of his knees.

If your old socks don't work, maybe you could cut up a pair of her old tights. I bet you could get at least 3-4 pair of "knee-pads" out of one pair, and they would probably fit more snug.

I like the thin cotton ruffled leggings from Old Navy. I just bought a pair for my 9 mo old daughter and will be going back for another pair. She's long ~20 lbs, so I went with the 12-18 month size.

I picked up extra long wristbands at Sports Authority...worked great! I got the idea here on BBB!
