    Default Ball Pits???

So what do you guys think? Does anyone have one? How do your dc like it? We were at a playgroup today and both of my dc had a blast in the ball pit. Does anyone have a recommendation for a brand or where to buy? I want to get one that fits at least 3 children, so a pretty good size. TIA!

My 19-mo DD has loved hers since she was 11 mos or so. Ours is sort of makeshift, but multi-functional -- we bought 100 plastic ball-pit balls at TRU for ~$20 and a used (but clean) covered sandbox (The Turtle by Little Tikes, I think ) for $10-15. No sand, just balls.

All this to say, I think it's a great toy. We play in it almost every day. She's been in it with 2 other children too. When she gets bored of the balls, we put the cover on the turtle and use it as a slide. :)

I improvised one with an inflatable kiddie pool (and it's been in our basement during the winter) and also bought the bag of 100 balls from TRU ...

We have one that we got a good deal on as an after-Thanksgiving-day sale (came with balls for about $20). My DD has really enjoyed it - it is sort of deflated now, but she still likes to crawl into it!

We have one and loved it until we got a leak and we can't find out where it is leaking. I asked other GF's about theirs and they all said the air ones leak sooner or later.

So I suggest not buying an air filled one and instead buying a container and filling it w/the balls. At the local play area they have a plastic swimming pool filled w/the balls.

I like a PP that suggested a sandbox. Another suggestion would be to use your play yard and fill it w/the balls.

I did look up and found some foam not air-filled ball pits like they have at gymboree and they are WAY expensive. Over $200.

I think there is a website called ballpit.com or close it that specializes in kid ball pits.

Just a note on the childcraft set. I purchased the 100 balls from TRU and then saw this and bought the 250 balls hoping to return the TRU ones. The 250 balls are much smaller than the TRU ones so they actually filled up about the same amount of space. I'm using them in a Graco Sport and decided I'll just keep both sets because DS seems to like the small ones (although they are a lot thinner and seem to dent easily)
