Default Any Euro II Highchair updates?

It looks like it's been a few months since some members bought the Euro II Highchair from OSA. I was just wondering if you all still like your chair and if you've had any problems at all. I really like the kinderzeat and was thinking of asking the grandparents to buy it for Conner's birthday, but I'm thinking it's a little too expensive so perhaps the Euro II would be better. Does everyone still like their chair after 5 months of use?

We like it just fine. There are only a couple things where the Kinderzeat might be better, but it's fine for us. One, the straps are kind of a pain to use without the bar (which Kaya doesn't need). And actually, she doesn't need the straps at all, which means I'd love the option of removing them entirely. Second, it's not quite as stable as the Kinderzeat--if your kid is prone to kicking back against an object, it's possible you could tip this chair. Kaya tried once and we just told her it was dangerous to do it and she hasn't done it since. So it works great for us, and I liked how it was half the price of the Kinderzeat. Kaya loves using it and she's even "shared" it with her neighbor (we have some pics of the two of them in the chair at the same time).

OMG! I was just about to post exactly what Eileen said...

We love our Euro Chair but.... DS likes to push off the table w/his feed and the chair tipped over, he flew off of it when he hit the ground head first. We solved this by lowering his seat so he couldn't push off the table anymore.

And yes the straps are a pain to figure out. DH still has problems using them. And the sitting mat would be better if it was cloth but we deal.

For the price you can't beat it. I think it's been a good fit for us. For Baby #2, we found a Tripp Trap, used from a neighbors daughter. So soon we'll have one of each to compare.

So the straps are not removable at all? Conner wouldn't need them and I don't think I'd just want them flopping around.

Ugh, that's too bad-- Conner is constantly pushing back on his chair. All through dinner I tell him to put his feet down and stop leaning back! I could definately see him tipping it then. Bummer.

Maybe I'll just have to keep searching for a Kinderzeat on Craigslist! The grandparents didn't seem too excited about buying Conner a CHAIR for his birthday :(. I guess it's just not a fun enough birthday present!

We like ours a lot and so does Daisy. She occasionally pushes back, but never has enough to tip the chair. My biggest complaint is the pad and cover, which as of this morning are trashed. There was a small rip in the cover which Daisy got a hold of and tore the entire cover off of the pad. I never really wanted the pad in the first place so now my challenge is how to get the velcro off of the chair.

Still, I would get another one and probably will in a year for the baby.

We have a Kinderzeat for our 2 yr old and just purchased a Tripp Trapp for the 8 month old baby. Although it is double the price, one thing we considered when we bought it was that when the kids no longer need/want to use them, we can ebay them and hopefully recoup some of our investment (currently sell for $100+). So it really would be about the same price as this chair. Also, the Leaning back and tipping problem on this chair sounds kinda really dangerous.
