Okay, I have to admit, I have no clues whatesoever when it comes to dolls. I can dress DD like a doll, no problem there. But, I have no idea what's good one to get her as her first baby doll.
She has been playing mostly the Little Tikes' kitchen. DS' train table and various other DS' toys. I can actually say she has no "girl" toys. I'm starting our Christmas list for our family. I have only a couple of Hanna outfits under her list. I was thinking maybe a first baby doll will be a good item for DD this X-mas. She'll be 18 months by then.
I would appreciate any help or advice.....thanks.

We like the size and weight of the Corolle Calin - plus she's pretty easy to clean. Inexpensive at Kidsurplus with lots of different hair and outfit options.

I actually prefer the Madame Alexander baby dolls to the Corolle ones. I think a bitty baby is too heavy for that age, esp. since you might wind up having to carry it sometimes.

Hey, we have Grenadine too! I've yet to give her to DD (as she would just suck on her...), but I have in lying in wait until Christmas or B-day.

Bitty Baby from American Girl.
I would have never thought to get this doll, but MIL did for my dds on their 1st birthdays and it's a fab dolly. Unlike some dolls I think are more infant/toddler toys like the Fisher Price ones we also have, I can see my girls still caring for their Bitty Babies for years to come.

We bought my son a Graco doll because it was age appropriate. Many say ages 3+ and we bought it when he was 2.
