What kind of outerwear?
Is is ok for my son to wear one of those thin fleece buntings in his carseat? He is still in his infant seat, but it is getting too heavy for me to want to carry in and out of the gym all the time, since there is no place to store it one we are there. My husband thinks we shouldn't put ANYTHING on him and that I should put a jacket on him once we get there, but that's just not practical.
Thank for any advice,
Elaine

RE: What kind of outerwear?
Fleece is pretty good. You want the thinnest layers that will keep him warm. You want a layer than doesn't compress much. Fleece works pretty well on both accounts. It is warm without much bulk, and it doesn't compress much. So try his fleece bunting, then throw a blanket over the whole thing in the car if he's still cold.
Later on, I recommend those fleece with shell jackets. Land's End makes various Squall jackets like that, and I'm sure others do too.
