Default Is there anything you can do about hot buckles?

When I was buckling my DD in today she said "hot." And, yes the clips were hot and it isn't even summer yet. Any good ideas on how to keep them a little cooler? I was thinking of covering them when we leave the car. Do you think that would help?

I think One Step Ahead sells a cover to go over the car seat when you're not using it that is supposed to help with this. I don't know how well it works but you might want to check it out.

It couldn't hurt to try throwing a light colored handtowel or larger over the seat/buckles when you aren't in the car...though an actual carseat cover may work better....
