DS is 15 months and we recently turned him forward facing (hopefully only for the time being). We had several long road trips, and being nearly 9 months pregnant, I was unbearably uncomfortable not being able to stretch my legs out, and WAY too close to the dashboard/airbag in the passenger seat. However, now that he is forward facing and his seat is extremely upright, he HATES it. He fusses everytime we put him in it, and he rarely falls asleep in it anymore. I want to turn him back rear facing....he is a peanut, and just over 22 pounds, so I know it is much safer, but DH thinks we can recline the captains chair to make him more comfortable forward facing, or recline it while he is rear facing to give me more room. Does this seem safe? When he showed me what he meant, the car seat is firmly attached and not budging an inch, but it just doesn't seem safe with the seat back of the captain's chair reclined like it was?
Anyone??
