Default What should be placement of my car seats????

We now have 3 Marathons and the Body Guard.
We have the 470 (490) whatever number it is...HUGE Lexus SUV (too big, gas guzzler)...

I remember Julie saying "the least protected child should be in the center" (or atleast I think she said that, correct me if wrong Julie)...

So once Baby Bronwyn is here...and assuming that all three Marathons fit in th same row I am trying to decide what postion to put them in.

With the above advice I would assume Baby B and Tristan (both rear facing) woudl be out board and Karsh (FF) would be in the center...

    Any advice...
Reichen LOVES being in the back row...so we were going to try to keep him there IF all the marathons ift in the center seat (main back seat)...

We don't have the lexus but have a Toyota Sienna and Avalon and can not get three marathons side by side. They hit each other and are very hard to buckle in. I would try them first.

I think you might be able to get the three seats in side by side. I will defer to the experts here on placement. Could you put one of the baby seats in back with Reichen if the fit is too tight? Is there a CPS tech in your area who could get a nice install for you now? You can always take out Baby B's seat till closer to the due date once you get a good idea of how it will all fit together.

I think you will probably be able to fit the 3 seats across.... I know my neighbors friend had 3 seats across in the BIG Toyota Landcruiser (similar model I am thinking to your lexus). They did the same in their Chevy Tahoe. I think you have the set up correct... with the two RF's on the side and your FF in the middle. It will be the easiest for you to get Bronwyn in and out of the car!

If for some reason 3 across doesn't fit well then I would put the two oldest in the REAR seat.... hopefully Reichen will be able to help Karsh get all belted in... and out.... might be tough for you to do that all the time!

    Good luck

Default THANK YOU LADIES- they fit but an additional question

They fit...we only have two in but they fit cneter and side so Baby B's will fit I have no doubt. We have Reichen happy as a clam in his body guard in the back.

I am trying (if possible) to keep one in the back and not two so I can have that cargo room...if I have two in the third row then I lose that cargo room of groceries, taking a dog to the vet etc...

However- we have Tristan in the middle right now and Steve does wonder if we can RF behind our seats, so we might have that obstacle to climb once Baby B is here.

I am shocked that the boys love their seats...you hear about that being a huge problem...I was convinced that Reichen would "tolerate" it and that Karsh would kick and scream....they both are proud as can be of their seats...
