RE: Land's End messenger diaper bag
I just received mine yesterday and I like it a lot! I'm a big fan of Lands End and have all their diaper bags :P IMO, the messenger bag is the perfect one for me. It's not as bulky as the Do-It-All, roomier than the Little-Tripper and more accessible than the Backpack.
Like the Do-It-All, it has an outside pocket for the changing pad. The flip is closed with two sets of velcros. The main compartment is devided into two sections with a zippered pouch (so you have 3 spaces for stuff). The section near the back has 2 bottle pockets and a key fob as well as a small zippered pocket. I like that the whole big compartment is devided, so you can keep food/clothes seperated from diapering stuff. The messenger bag also comes with the toiletry bag and the water-resistant bag.
Haven't used it IRL yet, but so far it's a wonderful bag to me :)

RE: Land's End messenger diaper bag
is the main bag accessible without flipping up the flap? (like the combi urban sling ? ) I have the combi bag and hate the cell phone thing as it's not detachable and I don't have a cell phone - I also hate the bottle placement location in that bag and feel like it always seems bulky when full...
thanks

RE: Land's End messenger diaper bag
You have to flip up the flap to access the main compartment (it looks like a regular messenger bag, very much like the Kate Spade Messenger
diaper bag). The material is similar to the Do-It-All (or the same?) but it's less constructed (softer). Bulky or not, I don't have the Urban Sling, so I can't compare the two. But it's less bulkier than the Do-It-All for sure. And because it's less constructed, it stays slim if you don't stuff the bag full (the Do-It-All stays pretty much the same size, empty or full).

RE: Land's End messenger diaper bag
Hi again,
I just received the bag a little while ago, and I think it looks really nice! I got in black, and the front of the bag has contrasting stitching that makes it look more modern. The changing pad is full size, and there's a pocket in the back especially for it. Inside, there's main three compartments, one zippered pocket, and two bottle pockets. The bottle pockets inside can hold Avent bottles, but they're not insulated (they are mesh). Two drawbacks for me are: the shoulder strap isn't padded, and the interior would be nicer if it was lined in a contrasting color. I have the Avent tote, which has an aqua-colored lining that makes things easier to find. I wouldn't consider this a large diaper bag, so if you carry a lot of stuff this may not be the right bag. But if that's not an issue, then this bag can do the job. I like the fact that it doesn't look like a diaper bag, and I can use if as a work bag. (I work at a university, where messenger bags a very popular). I can see getting a lot of use out of this bag, since it keeps my hands free and feels durable. Hope this helps!

RE: Land's End messenger diaper bag
Nina,
I was wondering about the Avent tote bag that you have. Did you like it? If not, what problems did you have with it? I have read reviews on babycenter.com and babiesrus.com and all but one have been positive. Is it bigger or smaller than the messenger bag from Lands' End?
Sorry for so many questions, but I have the redesigned Do-It-All and the recently phased out Little Tripper. At this point, I feel like I need something in between these 2 sizes - the Do-It-All is too big and the little tripper is too small. I am still adjusting to having to pack a diaper bag since I haven't had to do it in so long!
I did purchase the Avent tote bag from the Babies R Us store, but took it back, because I was unsure of what I wanted and also because of the 90 day limit for returns. At least with Lands' End, the return policy has no time limit!
Anyway, thanks in advance and please forgive my rambling - I am very sleep deprived thanks to DS!!
