Savona vs. Ultra Savvy
What are the differences between the Combi Savona PM and the Combi Ultra Savvy PM?

RE: Savona vs. Ultra Savvy
I can speak for the Savvy 2002 model vs. the 2003 Savona:
The Savona is 14 pounds, has a drawstring recline, framed basket, smaller canopy, one parent cup holder, baby tray and adjustable handlebar. Also, the savona folds in half like a lawn chair.
The US is 13 pounds, has larger canopy, pouched basket, one button recline mechanism, napper bar with 2 cup holders (for cheerios or drinks), soft parent pack on the handle bar for more storage, pocket on back of canopy, ability to make bassinet out of seat. The US folds down much smaller than the Savona and has a carrying strap.
They BOTH:
take car seats
have full recline
have padded 5 point harness
and are about the same price (2002 US and 2003 Savona)

RE: Savona vs. Ultra Savvy
FYI, you can get a 2003 brand new Ultra Savvy in Techno Grey on eBay right now for about the same $$ you'd pay for Savona in store. Where I live, Savona would have cost $183 including tax.
The starting bid for this auction (item#2348130198) is $189.99. S&H will set you back another $25. And there is no sales tax unless you live in New York or New Jersey. The seller, BabySurplus, seems to be a liquidator and has feedback in excess of 2400 with 99.6% being positive.
I would have bought this stroller myself if it were in the blue gingham to match my SnugRider. If you are not picky, there are a few auctions for Ultra Savvy 2002 model, also brand new, that allow you to "buy-it-now" for $128.95 plus $30 shipping.
Hope this will make your decision easier.

RE: Savona vs. Ultra Savvy
If you bid on the 2002 Ultra Savvys on Ebay from "Mariah's Closet", please email me regarding my experience with them. The transaction is not "fully" complete, so I wasn't going to post anything until then (which will be this Friday). Meanwhile, you can email me until then.

Ultra Savvy is available at babyage.com for $150
It's a great deal!!! $3.95 shipping.
I have an US and love it!!! THe savona was not available when I was looking at strollers so cannot comment on that. The thing I love about the US: lightweight but with all the features like: full recline, cupholder for parent and child, nice size canopy, plush padding. I used it with snugride and it's been wonderful. I couldn't live without my travel system. It's been great for neighborhood walks, to the mall and travel.
Some negatives to know about: the basket can be difficult to get too and on the small side: But I'd rather have a light weight, smaller stroller than carry alot of stuff around. You definately need 2 hands to open the stroller- which is hard with DS in one arm. It comes with matching carseat cover- but this does not work too well- hard to keep it on properly- I would just get a carseat that matched pretty well with it ( I had found a perfect graco to go with it but had to return it b/c of the recall ). Also I think combi makes an infant car seat now but not sure what people think of it. The color available at baby age is black - I think it would go well with the graco glen plaid pattern.
Hope this helps

Given the same price, which one will you prefer? 2002 US or 2003 Savona.
Thanks.
