Bebecar Tracker Urbano Owners-HELP!
I recently received my Bugaboo Frog, but I'm considering sending it back to get something a little more reasonable--and to be quite frank, I am not that overly impressed with it. For the cost, I expected much. much more. Anyway, I like the Bebecar Tracker Urbano and I'm considering the purchase of this stroller. However, I have to buy it without test driving it. I need some feedback from current owners.
Background: We live in a semi-rural area outside of Washington DC, and will be using the stroller to make small trips to the mall, for short walks and for when we travel. I will primarily be using a sling for grocery shopping and everyday use. On recent stroller testings my husband has been very receptive to all tires that swivel. He likes the Peg Perego Atlantico Sportivo and the Zippy and the Zooper Buddy. He is 6'2" and I am 5'7". We need something that will be comfortable for us both. I like a very chic stroller (and am also strongly considering the Bertini Sport), that also looks like a pram. I want a reversible seat option and a stroller that doesn't seem flimsy, kwim?
Any feedback, pros or cons you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
TIA!

RE: Bebecar Tracker Urbano Owners-HELP!
Well I don't have experience with the Bebecar but have you looked at the Culla/Giovane? It has three different chassis options - two with fixed wheels and one (the Caravel) with swivel wheels. I have the Caravel. It comes with a seat similar to the Bebecar or Bertini that can be put on in either direction. It just snaps in place easily. I've even rotated it with my baby in the seat. Probably not the greatest idea but it wasn't hard. It also comes with a bassinet that snaps on. I've loved it. The difference between the Culla and the Giovane is that the Culla has a "summer" fabric that has netting in the hood for air in addition to the regular fabric and the Giovane is just the regular fabric. It definately doesn't seem flimsy but at the same time it's not so heavy you can't use it. Here is a link to a website that carries it with a description of all three chassis.

The girl sitting in the stroller turned 4 just after that picture. My baby hadn't been born as of then. She's 4 months now.

RE: Bebecar Tracker Urbano Owners-HELP!
Hi there!
I have a Bebecar Tracker AT, which is similar to the Urbano, but does not have the reversal feature, although you can do some zipping of the seat & reverse the hood to make a pram style area. I LOVE it. I am also in an semi-rural area, do a lot of walking, and do some off-roading. It has stood the rigors of all of these marvelously. I particularly like, and didn't know that I would, the ability to pull the hood all the way down to the napper bar. It keeps sleeping babies sleeping and away from prying eyes that try to wake them. There are only two draw backs that I see it has. 1) It's big. This is not a shopping stroller. It does not go thru the isles. When you try, and I have, you knock things down with the rear wheels. I picked myself up a used pliko for that and other quick trip uses. 2) It's 25 pounds. For some, like me, this is not a big deal. For others, its a deal breaker.
Bottom line? For me, this company & carriage is wonderful. I only wish they made a decent double.

It's a beautiful, stylish, high quality stroller. But it is big. They have smaller-wheeled models as well--the City? Urban? Something like that. I can check it out for you if you like.

Thank you!
Strollerqueen-Thank you for your opinion. Now, I have another question for you-I thought I decided on the Bertini Sport today, but now I'm torn-AGAIN! What are your thoughts?
