Default Combi Accoustic Canopy- Has anyone tried?

The Combi website says that Combis now come with an acoustic canopy that plays three songs. Has anyone tried these accoustic canopies? Are they any good? Any general comments re the Ultra Savvy?

I link to the website with the canopy info is at:

Combi has been pushing the acoustic canopy thing for a while now. It does not play music- it is just set up so you can use your own cd/mp3 player with their speakers which fit into pockets on the canopy. i never used the feature. I have never seen anyone else use the feature. I think it is a really small benefit.

The US is great, canopy and all...it can be short for some people and Combis are a love'em or hate'em type stroller. I suggest trying one out before buying.

More info on the canopy music thing:

    From the Combi website:

The COMBI Acoustic Canopy strollers have miniature stereo speakers set in a pocket on either side of the canopy. The speakers are connected to a standard size jack that inserts into any portable CD, cassette, mini disc or MP3 player supplied by the parent. The player is held in a pocket on the back of the canopy; the parent controls the volume. This terrific new feature will keep your child content while you're outside strolling or at the mall.

I have a Combi Savvy DX that I love and I also love the acoustic canopy. Unlike the previous poster, we use ours all the time. I have it hooked up to a CD player and I keep a CD case with about 8 CDs (Baby Einstein & others) in my large all day diaper bag. I think it's great and don't see why others don't use it. I went out and bought a CD player just for it before I even had my baby. It really helps calm my son down if he's getting fussy. The Combi Savvy DX stroller is nicer than the new Soho, Savanna, and Perfect Match models that are now out. I think it's almost identical to the new Ultra Savvy. We've never had any problem with the handle height-- it's not any shorter than my other strollers, but I have seen older models of the Travel Savvy that look really short and uncomfortable. I'm 5'7 and my boyfriend is 5'10 and neither of us have ever had a problem. I have kicked the wheels before but I asked my boyfriend and he never has, so I think that has to do with my longer stride not my height. I don't kick the wheels any more so I think I've adjusted my stride. This is my every day stroller that I use to run errands, go to the mall, and take walks on nicely paved sidewalks. It does not do well on unpaved surfaces or cracked up sidewalks though so I'm looking into a 3-wheeler for neighborhood walks. Hope this helps.

I've included some pictures of my ds in the Combi Savvy DX.

We're planning on getting some kind of Combi, and being a musical couple the acoustic canopy is definitely a big selling point for us.

BTW, Latia, your son is adorable!!!!! :)

Your son is such a cutie! I love the picture of him in the dwarf village, that looks like such a neat toy. I'm definately going to be on the lookout for something similar.

    Thanks everyone.

    Lisa--
That dwarf village is made by a German toy company (Haba) that my boyfriend found. They sell a lot of classic wooden toys too. Here's a site that sells their toys: http://www.maukilo.com/categ_haba.html
