    Default Zippy or P3?

Both the Inglesina Zippy and Peg Perego P3 are a little more expensive then I'd normally go for, but my parents offered to buy us something significant, and I'm thinking an easy to fold, light-weight, good quality stroller might just be worth it. And then use the Snap N Go with my SnugRide carrier for the first few months, instead of getting a Graco Quattro or MetroLite (I'm due in December). Do you have experiences with either of these strollers? Advantages and disadvantages? Which would you pick?

PS - Would a Zooper jogging stroller be too much for a simple walk, or for ease of closing and carrying? I think my husband would like a jogging stroller eventually.

    I have a Quattro & a P3....and a Snap & Go. I have never seen the Zippy IRL.
From what I have learned here...the Zippy & P3 are very similar. The P3 offers a child snack tray & toddler step. The Zippy does not have these...but it has the one hand fold that is supposed to be really great. Also, some people have said the Zippy is a smoother ride than the P3...but like I said, I have never seen a Zippy IRL. I don't think you would need a jogging stroller just to take a walk unless you live in an area lacking paved roads, or the sidewalks are really in bad shape. I actually use my Quattro for walks in the neighborhood. My P3 stays in my car & fuctions as my lightweight mall / errand stroller. HTH :-)

I think if you like to take really long walks, you (and your baby) will appreciate a jogging stroller. We got a Zooper Boogie for this purpose and I think it's a very nice stroller. Seems comfy for baby and is nice for me to push. That said, it's unwieldy and heavy (over 30 lbs.). If you can leave it open all the time, it's fine. We live in a condo in the city and I have to fold it down every time and put it in our utility closet. It's a pain in the butt (I have to put my daughter in the backpack while I do this), but I like the stroller very much. And someday we'll probably have a house and I'll leave it in the garage. If all you'll do is take leisurely walks with extremely smooth sidewalks, it might not be necessary, but where we live the quality of the pavement varies a lot.

I looked at both these strollers and ended up going with the P3 Sportivo model (2003 model that has since been discontinued). I love my Pliko and I'm not 100 % sure why I chose it over the Zippy, sorry but I just don't remember and don't want to give you the wrong info. I do remember that I didn't think it was that easy to fold and I definitely liked the hood better on the Pliko. It is my only stroller (used the Kolcraft Universal Stroller in the beginning) and I find it works great for long walks, mall trolling, pretty much everything. I love that I can recline it, pop off the snack tray and change ds's diaper (I have done that in a number of instances where the other option would have been to change him on the ground!)

I used the UCSC until baby outgrew it - and was very sad to retire it! But I always used my Zippy for long walks.

Now I use the Zippy the majority of the time and my hubby has a hand-me-down combi in his trunk so we both always have a stroller in our cars.

I was torn between the P3 and Zippy and ended up choosing the Zippy after test driving them both. The Zippy handles wonderfully on the streets (it was independent shocks - which is needed for my neighborhood - lots of putholes, cracked sidewalks, etc.) It even handled well on unshoveled sidewalks.

Also the easy fold and lightweight were factors that helped make my decision. The front wheels also have an option to be locked or swivel - so for long walks this stroller is ideal when wheels are locked - and then when you are just leasurely walking/shopping/whatever - take the locks off - and the stroller can turn on a dime.

I honestly liked the color combos better on the P3's - but decided that I should be more concerned with functionality - not colors. This year it looks like Zippy got some fun new colors. I have the Cookie pattern which is beige, blue and red. Love the new red one!

Between these two I chose the P3 b/c it was easier for me to push, had the toddler board which my 2.5 year old (now 3.5 years) loved to ride and had the snack tray (I also bought the napper bar for when he was little). I had a Maclaren all for my first and thought it would be fun to try a snack tray. I really enjoyed the freedom it gave me while wheeling him around! He loves putting his cup in the holder!
