    Default Experts: Here are my specs....Any ideas?

    I am going totally insane trying to find a stroller. Here are my specs, and if it's not too much to ask, I would appreciate any suggestions you can give me. I thought I would come to this board and ask the experts.:)

    * one long handle (not the umbrella stroller type handles)
    * city walks, long walks mostly on sidewalks....some of these walks will take me to the mall
    * basket
    * reversible seat or handle
    * big tires...at least 10-12 inches
    * rubber air tires, not plastic
    * easy to manoever
    * the ability to add a child/parent tray if it doesn't come with one
    * accomodates car seat (preferably)
    * no more than $700 Canadian which is around $500 US dollars

    Teutonia Y2K (I have a brand new one for sale, if you want it), Teutonia Regent or Teutonia Prestige. The latter two are available for a great price at www.babycatalog.com. They have somewhat smaller tires than you talk about, but handle very, very well. Any car seat will fit in them. And there are aftermarket trays that would probably work.

    The downside is that they are all on the heavy side, so not what you'd want to haul in and out of the trunk frequently, or take on public transportation.

    ETA: There is also a Teutonia Y2K/2 but that does not have a reversible seat like the Y2K.

    Lori- Do you know the steering differences in the Y2K and Regent. I know they are both fixed wheel, but is one easier to turn than the other? Thanks!

    I haven't tried a Regent, so can't compare the two. The Y2K is actually pretty easy to steer - for gentle curves, you just kinda lean on the handle. Obviously, for 90 degree turns, you have to pop a wheelie.

    What comes to mind is the Zoopers (hybrids), the Valco (hybrid), the Teutonias, the Bumble Ride Queen B pram, the Inglesina Magnum, the Bertini Sport steerable. Most of the pram strollers or a few of the swivel wheel hybrids. You can always add a Taby tray if there is a front bar, a Babu tray for you, and sit the seat in the carriage seat (a luggage strap works well to secure it).
