    Default Another Zapp question

I was all set to get a lightweight (volo or micro) stroller to finish my collection. Then I started looking at the Zapp posts. What an awesome fold and cool-looking stroller. DS never naps in his stroller anymore so I don't need the recline.

I have read all the posts but just to be sure:

    - if your DC is tall, do you think this will last until s/he is done with strollers?
    - it's a sling-style seat, how upright is it? My DS tends to slump in his ZStreet a little, would he slump in this?
    - it's heavier than the lightweights.. does this bother you? Could you carry it folded while carrying your toddler (like onto a bus, assuming you can get it folded?)
    - has anyone tried to put it in a carryon yet?
    - do you think it is worth the $ you paid?
    - ETA: the folded pics, are they with the canopy on? Does it fit folded w/the canopy into the carry bag?

My SIL has done two stints working in the Netherlands and has friends from there coming to visit this summer. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to have them buy one for me and bring it? Would that be cheaper or would that just cause them customs issues? (I hadn't planned on spending this much on my 3rd stroller!) Any ideas?

    TIA!

    Default RE: Another Zapp question

I looked at the Volo several times with my DD - she would never sit in it - I've never been able to get her to like the Mac type strollers. She has enjoyed the Zapp so far and I absolutely love it! We get compliments on it wherever we go.

    To answer your questions
-I am really pleased at how big the Zapp is - my daughter is very tall for her age and I think she should have quite a bit of room for awhile.
-I found the seat more upright than I expected, which is a huge bonus - I haven't looked at the Z Streets, so I can't say - but I would say a little less than my P3, but more so than the Macs
-As for weight, it is a little heavier, but I think you could carry it on the bus with a toddler - the fold is really compact, so the weight is better distributed than say a P3
-I am optimistic about being able to carry it on - I will know for sure in two weeks
-I think it is worth the money paid - but to be honest, I am pregnant with my second, so I am planning to use it for another as well - I'm not sure if I would have thought so if it was just for DD, as she doesn't ride a lot these days - I will say that if I can take it as a carry on that alone would probably make it worthwhile as I travel a lot by myself with DD
-the stroller does fit in the carry bag with the hood on
-not sure about buying in the Netherlands vs. US - I was able to order as part of a group order so the shipping costs weren't that bad and when you took out the VAT you'd pay in the Netherlands I think the costs were fairly close - if you are buying it by yourself though the Netherlands options is cheaper

    GOod luck with your decision!
