Default Stroller advice for a double under $300. Graco Quatro Tour Duo??

Here is your challenge, should you chose to accept it :)

One of the employees at my husband's office is having another baby and she needs a double
stroller. She has registered for the most basic no frills Graco Duoglider at Target (light green
for $149) because "it was the cheapest." She has another young baby (around a year old I
think) and older siblings too. I have no idea what she will use the stroller for or how big her
car is, though with all the kids she must have a minivan or something. And with how busy his office is right now, I don't think I have much chance of finding out answers to the stroller selection questions. As the designated crazed stroller lady, I said I would figure out a nice stroller to get her. From my research, it looks like most people don't like the Graco Duoglider. Is the new Graco Quatro Tour Duo any better? I know it is heavy but does it have any redeeming features? The office doesn't want to spend big bucks for a
BJCSD or other high end stroller and since we (me and DH) are also going to buy her a new
infant car seat, we won't be picking up the difference between a $250 stroller and $500
    stroller.

Are there any good options for an under $300 double that will take a carseat too? Combi?
The 2007 Aria double (doesn't sound like anyone likes the earlier version)? Any assitance would be very much appreciated. I just posted this same question on Swap too, but figure the more help I can get, the better. Thank you all in advance!

bump. Anyone used the Graco Quattro/Quatro Tour Duo or seen one in person? How about the Kolcraft tandem that looks pretty sharp in photos? Any info would be appreciated.

I looked at the Quattro Duo and it is huge, imo. I really didn't think it was that much smaller than a regular Duo. However, I didn't push it, so I can't comment on whether it is easier. It does have a nice basket and cupholders, though. The Kolcraft is very heavy (I think around 45#) and the seats are small. What about an Inglesina Twin Swift? I've had that one and wish I didn't sell it. You can use it w/ a newborn with a snuzzler, but not a car seat obviously. Combi might be okay, but I think I'd choose the TS over the Combi. The TS is a little more versatile, imo. There's also a Zooper Tango.

    Good luck!

maclaren makes a double triumph for about 225 kiwi-kid.com sells it for 208 with out shipping or tax. it looks like a good light weight double and reclines more like the teckno for a newborn so it looks like a good option or try the inglesina swifft.

As a mom with twins, the issue with almost all side by sides is that they don't take 2 carseats, only one. It's important at the beginning. So unless you are also going to get her a double snap-n-go for the beginning she'll need a stroller that takes 2 car seats.

we just rented a duoglider on a trip and it was a beast. hard to turn, and very heavy (though a huge basket underneath)

She is not having twins, so only need to worry about having car seat compatability for one kiddo. I know it is better not to have baby in the carseat all the time, but am I know she will have her hands full and will need to be able to pop the carseat in and grab quick groceries, etc. and that is important to her. I am surprised no one has the new Graco Quattro Tour Duo though, I was hoping for something similar to what she has registered for, only "better" since her registry was driven by what she could afford.

    Thanks!

I saw the Quattro Tour Duo in person at church last week
and I thought it was definitely smaller than the Duo Glider. It also pushed much more easily. I know someone posted a review with photos here a few weeks ago.
