Rocking chair

I have a beautiful wooden rocking chair in my living room, but I'm nervous about my recently creeping 9 month old hitting her head on the pointed part of the bottom rails. Has anyone ever seen anything to cover these with? Probably not, but thought I 'd try! If not, we'll have to put it somewhere else! Thanks...

Some friends of ours have used pipe insulation (like plumbing equip) from Home Depot all over the place in their house. I would guess there might be a way to add some of that to the rocker rails. It just might take a little creativity!
