    Default Pampers Cruisers Leaking

I have been using Pampers Cruisers/Swaddlers for over a year now and have always been very happy with them until recently. I hate the new design of the Cruisers! Ever since they changed them to where they have less bulk and the purple all around the diaper they have been leaking daily. I am certain they are the right size and fit and I change my son about every 2 hrs. so it is not a matter of the diaper being too full. They bulk out and seem to almost fall apart and the outside of the diaper feels damp. This is just a bad design! Not to mention the fact that the purple design is unattractive on boy babies. Bring back my old cruisers! I am about to have to change diapers because I cant deal with these leaks! :-(

I have been noticing my DD leaking more at night (I don't change her in the middle of the night). I'm wondering if it is because she is drinking more (like the bath water ;) ) or if it's the cruisers. It does look like there is less there in an attempt to make them trimmer looking. And I really don't like all of the blue/purple. It leaves the outline of the white of the diaper to look like a huge pad/hourglass shape. I also think it's silly to start adding graphics on the back of the diaper, it's not like DD can see that when she's wearing it, and I really don't care to see big bird on her bottom. Maybe it's just me, but the new ones seem to run a little smaller - I held the new one and an old one up together and the new ones are a tiny bit shorter. I'm sure it's a marketing tool to get us to have to buy bigger sizes, which come with less in a package for the same price. I'm going to try a bigger size and see if that helps, but I'm thinking of switching too.

Call the 1-800 number & tell them how disappointed you are!

You noticed a core change-- tell them it's not working for you. It's even better if you have the bag-- there's a code/date printed on the side-- that'll help 'em figure out which plant/line your bag of diapers was made on and when. (I'll keep the side of the bag w/that code/date 'til I've used up that bag's worth in case I have comments).

If you hate the purple, tell them! They're all about selling something most people actually want.

And, the length of the diaper was not supposed to change with these other changes-- so either there's a problem with tension on that particular manufacturing line, or it's just normal variation (how much different was the lemgth?).

If you're firm with the customer service people, your next bag might be on P&G for you to try again!

I don't know if you have a Sam's Club nearby or not, but our Sam's still sells the old version of the Cruisers. You might want to check it out.

    Just my two cents...

Thank you for posting this! I thought I was the problem in that I was not putting them on right! For 3 nights in a row this week, DS has woken up wet from a leaking diaper. DH & I were starting to suspect he would sleep through the night just fine if his clothes weren't soaking wet. I was starting to get frustrated. After reading your post, I realized I did buy a new package this past week. I also rememberered I happened to have received a sample of Huggies supreme size 3 in the mail last week and in a pinch I used that at night and it worked great! I'm thinking I might make the switch permanent now!

Definitely call or e-mail Procter & Gamble. I had an issue with the new design of Swaddlers (where the tabs became stretchier and attached to one another). I e-mailed my complaint about the design, received a reply e-mail and a coupon for a free package of Pampers.

I had the same problem and finally switched over to Huggies Ultratrim during the day and the Huggies Overnights at night. We haven't had a leak since. A shame since I'd been so happy with the Swaddlers, but something is just wrong with the way the Cruisers fit! Now I am a Huggies mom!

Oh no!!! I love the (old) crusiers. We did swaddlers for newborn and huggies supreme for sizes 1 & 2. I had a bunch of coupons when BRU had the jumbo boxes of crusiers so I tried them out in size 3 and loved them. So much roomier than the supremes. I don't want to go back :(

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I emailed and called Pampers about the problems I was having and they are going to send me coupons for a free package. They tried to convince me that I needed to go up a size which I don't. I was able to find a package of the old curisers and go figure I haven't had any leaks since then. They are the same size as the others so I am certain it is a design flaw with the new ones. I think they are just too narrow between the legs and that is where the leaks are occuring. If anyone else out there is having these same problems I would encourage them to call and complain. Maybe we can get our old cruisers back.

Are the purple-edged ones new? I've only been using the Cruisers size for a month or so but haven't seen those (I guess what I'm using now is the old design). It's possible they haven't made it to my neck of the woods yet, but I will definitely be aware of the leak problem if they ever deliver the new ones to NC.
