I don't have any advice regarding your mom, but I just wanted to give you a big hug! We've had a little experience with kiddos & hospitilization, and it's so scary. I'm so sorry you are having to go through this with your daughter. You are such a strong mama! :)

I am sorry! I hope your DD is feeling better. Mom's sometimes don't do the right thing. If we can excel where they didn't, evolution has worked. Big hugs!!!!

Thank you all for such nice replies! We are trying to be more proactive and work with our other friends/relatives so when this happens again we won't feel so isolated. My mom and I used to be so close, but ever since DD was born, she has kind of disappeared. :(
