*UPDATE* Just A Vent...I'm Sick And Have A Weekend Away Planned!

Well, I went away for the weekend and it was great! I still felt pretty lousy on Saturday, but the whole point of this weekend was to relax. Fortunately, my friend was not concerned about what we did either - all she wanted was a weekend away as well (she has two boys, ages 8 and 11). The first day we pretty much hung around the condo, went for a walk on the beach and sat by the pool. I took a nap!!! Slept good that night and woke up feeling much better on Sunday. We didn't get home until 8:00pm on Sunday and DH had a great weekend with DD - even took her to see his grandmother. I think I'll have to do that more often!

I got some much needed rest and I'm sure that helped me get well sooner. Thanks for the kind words everyone!

I have never spent a night away from DD, while DH has gone on several weekend or week long trips (some work related, but still...). My parents have a condo at the beach for the month of August and several months ago, I said to DH, "I'm going to the beach for the weekend with my friend." He is going to keep DD and I was so looking forward to a nice weekend doing whatever I pleased. This friend that is going with me is my best friend of 23 years and the last time we did anything like this was in college!

So...DD started daycare for the first time last week and came home Friday with a cold. She's better, but then I started coming down with it Sunday (just adds fuel to my fire about hating daycare even though DD loves it). Noooooo...it can't just be a cold, but turns into a sinus infection. I got antibiotics right away so my trip wouldn't be completely ruined and now I'm getting bronchitits, even while on the antibiotics! Uunnnggh...I'm so frustrated. I'm still going and plan to get some much needed rest. I just wanted to feel good for this trip and I haven't been this sick in a looooong time.

Oh, and why am I up so late? Went to bed early and kept waking up, so I just gave up.

Im sorry your feeling so sick! Isnt that just the luck! I have the same luck. I came to Europe for the first time in December of 2004 and DH and I go to Munich and I get so sick on NEW YEARS EVE that I end up in the hospital w/ a kidney infection and after that threw up for 5-days straight! It sucks I know.

I hope you still have fun w/ your friend. Get some movies, hot tea and relax on the couch w/ your girl and watch a ton of girlie movies (or whatever you can) and laugh your butts off. Well thats what me and my friend would do when we werent feeling up to going out!

I hope you have fun on your trip either way, and feel better soon!!!

OOOH blech. DH and DD are both sick too. Nasty cold going around.
