There's a great game called "Baby Gift Bingo". Each person at the shower gets a bingo "card" filled with baby gifts in each square. As the mother opens her gifts, you mark them off your card. If you get 5 in a row, you yell out "bingo" and then get a small giftie.

There are lots of people who hate playing shower games, and this way, they're playing a game but still enjoying the mom opening up her gifts.

    Have fun! :)

    Maureen,
I am one of those who can't stand "games" at showers...BUT we jsut played this at a shower and it was fun!!!! Some of the squares are like "hand made item" so it is not all so specific as "stroller" "car seat" it is a mix and thus makes it fun!!!!

I highly recommend this one if you are doing games :)...

Also at the same shower guest were asked to bring a book "old or new" in addition to the gift for the babies libriary. The book was supposed to remind the mommy of the guest who brought it, and we were to write a note. She highly encouraged us to bring in used thrift store books so that it did not deter from the "gift budget". At the end the mommy had a good 40 something books for her library!!!! I loved that the hostess and mommy (her sister) had no problem wiht used books and welcomed crayon drawings in the book, they said "that means it was loved before" :)...

I have heard of people using fabric paint to decorate some onesies for the new baby.
