Default John Kerry's speech interested my Republican husband

I'm not trying to start a board war, but I want to know where to find good websites with more info on Kerry and his beliefs and policies. My husband and I are generally Republicans, but more importantly is voting for the best man for the job. I didn't watch tonight (I was working) but my husband watched Edwards yesterday and Kerry tonight and was really impressed. So we need more info. My DH won't read discussion boards, just regular websites. Thanks so much for your help!!

    Hey, Deborah,

Just want to thank you for the link. (I guess it cannot be more obvious. lol) I went there to take a look and was motivated to apply for my voter registration and printed out my application form through this website. :)

You're welcome! Kerry actually mentioned it in his speech, so it didn't take much for me to think of it! I'm sure this site presents him in the most positive possible light, and there may be other sites out there that are less biased, but I am not big on political sites really. www.democracynow.org seems interesting to me, but I haven't spent much time there.

Both sites listed above are great. I thought the speech was great, and I wasn't even anticipating that! ;)

(Yes, I'm a Kerry supporter, I just had heard he was a horrible public speaker)

    Default Voter Registration ?

We moved out of the city 2 years ago. While I voted in every election while living there, big or small, I haven't voted since we moved because I'm unclear whether I need to re-register or how to change my registration. Does anyone know? I must vote in this presidential election! I am afraid I'll get jury duty (again) when I deal with this but it's worth it!

    Thanks!

Yes, you probably do need to change your registration, because all your local district stuff will be different. Remember that you need to do this at least 30 days before the election. Local public libraries and DMVs will register you to vote. You can also print out voter registration online at http://www.rockthevote.com/.

    Default Mine too!

My DH watched John Kerry last night. We talked afterwards and throughout our conversation, he gradually got to the point that he leaning Republican now, not calling himself one. It was a pretty great night in our home. :) He is actually considering Kerry now.

I also like www.moveon.org but it's pretty liberal and might be more than your dh is wanting to get into right now. As for you, you might be interested in the arguments at www.MOB.org . Not necessarily to join up but to see what some of the arguments are. :)
