    Default Day Care Help Needed

My friend and I might be in bad shape soon. We both work from home and have a sitter that comes in for most of the day. It isn't easy, but it has it's pros and cons. It looks like we might have to start going into the office full time, and our company doesn't offer any kind of day care (her DS is 5 months, my DD is 13 months) and we are going to have to look into dropping them off somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions for good daycare centers in Rockland County, NY and Bergen County, NJ?
She is looking for something right away. I am looking in case I have to start in the office in January. She is in NY, I am in NJ.
She had heard about Kindercare in Old Tappan, NJ and was curious what people thought.
I told her I would consult "the mommies" as you have all been so helpful in the past.

Just a thought (and I have no personal experience with this), but might it work for the two of you to share a nanny, if you're going tou be in the same situation?

Maybe you could share a sitter near your office?

Kindercare is a big chain. Some are pretty good and some are not so good. Lots of staff turnover in some sites. Some staff are great and others are terrible. Much like the rest of the daycare world- hit and miss.

    Kathryn,

I also live in Bergen County. Fortunately my mom watches Madeline, but I know that some of my friends use local daycares. I will ask around and let you know what they say.

We only checked out on DC Center (in Haworth) before deciding it made sense for DH to quit his job and stay home! So sorry you're in this situation!

If you want more info on that center email me!
