I like it best the way you have been saying it ("on"). That picture of Tristan sleeping with Bronwyn is precious!!!!! I love it! The sibling pictures get me every time!

    Neve,

    Great picture!

I went to a high school with a girl named Bronwyn (which I think is a beautiful name, BTW) and her named was pronounced BRON-IN (does that make sense?). Don't know if that helps or not :)!

First: Love the pic! How precious. :)

Second: I've had Bronwyn right(on) but I pronounce your name Nev. As far as your friend..I knew someone who mispronounced another lady's name *all* the time. No matter how many times she heard it said correctly she'd call her the wrong name. It struck me as a power trip or something. I'd correct her pronunciation if you're so inclined and she's mispronouncing.

First, I like Bronwyn with the "on" sound. It sounds literary to me (but that's just me).

I'm also glad to know the correct pronunciation of YOUR name. Whenever I read your name on a post, I thought of it with the long e sound, but then as I heard of so many people naming their daughters Neve with the short e sound I figured I'd been pronouncing it wrong all along. Hmmm, now I have to re-learn how to say Petra's name (was goofing that one too!)

BTW, LOVE the double binky pic!

Before your DD the only time I had heard of the name Bronwyn was in the Keeping Days book series I read as a per-teen. I loved those boosk adn the older sister was Bronwyn or Bron for short. And it was the 'on' sound.

    Cute photo.
I had no idea Neve was pronounced "neev." Never would have occured to me.

I'd say "brahn-win" if I saw the name Bronwyn. "Brahn" rhyming with "yawn."

    Default My experience

I've known only one Bronwyn - she pronounced it just as I think you are doing: with the "on" sound, and the "wyn" as "win." I think this is a much prettier pronunciation than the other possibilities!
