Wow, thanks! I just read the review--I really appreciate you thinking of me, since this is just down my alley, Eri! I just published an article on urban renovation in Rome in the 15th century, so this is *total* serendipity.
It's funny b/c I think I am one of the ones who only see beauty in Rome. I joke that I love Rome so much that I even love the pollution!
Have to get my hands on that "Families who made Rome" book--and have been meaning to read the Bernini/Borromini one.
