Default Can 50/50 sheets get soft with washings?

Or, can I keep the cute dino sheets, or shall I return them since they are brand new and not soft at all?

(cross post from bedding, in hopes for a success story with these kinds of sheets...)

    TIA

Yes, but it might take more time than you have. i have some adult 50/50 sheets and pillowcases that are several years old and very smooth, nice to feel. I have a 100% cotton sheet with a high thread count that was a bit of a splurge for me, and it pilled up badly within a year, plus it has no body and just wrinkles up under you. In principle, I still think 100% cotton sheets are better, but in practice, I just do whatever strikes me at the moment.

Like Karen said, they will get soft, but it may take years! If you don't like how they feel now, I'd return them for something else.
