I am about to order my photo cards and I don't know if I should go for matte. I usually order glossy for prints, but maybe the matte would look better on a 5x7 photo card.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

We are ordering photo cards for our baby announcements, and I uploaded a sample announcement in 4x6 and 5x7 sizes, in matte and glossy. Both DH and I preferred the 5x7 matte photo announcement. It looks very classy! But if you're not sure, just get one of each printed. We ordered ours from shutterfly and had them in hand w/in a week, so it was really easy to pick long before we actually need them.
I just received my photo cards from Shutterfly in the matte version and I am super pleased with the results.
I much prefer matte photos - IMO, they look classier, plus they repel fingerprints!

I got glossy ones from Shutterfly last year but think matte ones would be equally nice. I might try them this year.
I started getting the matte finish a couple of years ago. I think it looks alot nicer. The glossy shine has never been my cup of tea and I think it makes the pics look better.

I'm a matte only person. I hated our printer b/c it was always glossy. I order from winkflash and always order matte.

Definitely matte. :)
I will be printing our photo birth announcements at home (DH has a professional photo printer at home) and I ordered several types of photo paper so I could see what finish and weight I liked best. The matte papers just look much more elegant and stylish when printed. The glossy finishes tended to look too "drugstore" processed, like I had gotten them done at Walgreens or something like that.
