Yes, I know...another recipe thread!! :)
I need to bring a salad to a party on Saturday, give me some new ideas. I've brought the same thing the last couple of times...a salad with blue cheese, candied walnuts, some fruit...I'd like a change.
Just needs to be a lettuce type of salad (not a potato salad or pasta salad!). What is a good winter/holiday salad??

I made the Holiday Salad by Giada De Laurentiis (foodtv Everyday Italian) last year. It is delicious! Very colorful too, so perfect for a festive mood.

Since I like a hint of sweetness in my salad dressing, I ended up adding some sweetener (I think I used maple syrup since it was easier than sugar to mix) to the vinaigrette.
