    Default He's Asleep!!!!!!!

DS is asleep - and sound asleep snoring :-) That's a good sign! I'm sure it's a fluke LOL but let's hope not.

He's going back to daycare this week just Tue-Thur vs Mon-Fri as it's been for a couple of months. I told DH this morning do whatever you can (within reason!) to keep him from napping. When I got in from work we ate dinner, relaxed for a bit and then went out for a walk (however, DS was in the stroller because we're out walking for exercise and out for awhile) and stopped at the playground. DS refused a bath afterwards (crying and screaming like i've never heard!) so after wiping him down and making sure the sand was gone (playground is on a sandbox...now i know why we rarely go there!) he's sound asleep.

So, any tips from moms/dad with kids in daycare.....are your DCP's resistant to not letting a kid nap? I'm concerned if he doesn't nap in school he'll be asleep in the car before i leave the parking lot! Oh, we also didn't let DS sleep "in" this morning but rather went for a family walk at 7am!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Our daycare has naptime in all rooms AFAIK (not sure about the 4-5 year olds), but not every child naps. I am told that all must have quiet time, so non-nappers can quietly "read" books on their cots/ nap mats while others are sleeping.

I use a home daycare provider and I think she needs the kids to take a nap so that she gets her own break! But to answer your question, 1-3 is nap time for all the kids. The older kids will sometimes watch a movie or play outside if they don't want to nap. I know my older DD who is about the same age as Will definitely still takes at least an hour and half nap every day - although she doesn't usually take a nap on weekends.

Same here in regard to napping, he'll nap for awhile at school but never at home. Plus I just realized I never talked to them about skipping the nap when I dropped him off this morning! Well, we'll just be sure to wear him out in the park again!
