What is your favorite board or board type game?

I like to buy a game every year during the holiday season to play. i love hearing about new (or not so new games).
Some of my favorites:
Sequence (like connect four on a board game)
Balderdash (the original one)
Cranium

we are a Rummikub family. In fact, we need to start practicing before we go to my mom's for Christmas. She kicks butt!

We love Scrabble! Yahtzee is always fun too.

There's a game similar to Balderdash called Wise and Otherwise. Instead of defining words, each player tries to complete an old saying. Very funny!

I'm a Scrabble girl, spent many a night tapping away at my keyboard playing online. And I LOVE Scattergories. There are so many games I haven't tried, because nobody ever wants to play with me! (I get a *wee* bit gung-ho. :))

We love board games. My family is very gungho about playing. We have actually sent family members to the hospital because of fights during playing. Dh has banned playing board games at our house because of this.

A few of are favorites are:
Battle of the Sexes- this really starts the fights
Catch Phrase- another good one for fights
Sequence
The Poll Game- this one also gets the family going
Pass the Bomb- I actually received stitches after this game

Another person on this earth that knows Sequence!! Yipee!!

We love Sequence, Backgammon, Scrabble and Yahtzee. I played Encore over the weekend and NEED to own that!

LOL!!! I didn't realize I had done that. I guess the games that my family finds fun are the ones where injuries happen. Maybe my family is too competitive. You see us when we play yard games.
