Jessica, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your grandmother sounds like she was an amazing special woman. How lucky you all were to have had her in your life. I'm sorry I don't have any ideas on how you can make it to the funeral. The bereavement fares help but we found when my father-in-law passed away they were still quite expensive. I'll be praying for you in this difficult time.

Default Thank you for your kind words

I wish I had the time and energy to respond to each one of you individually. I can't tell you how much it has meant to me to have you reach out to a total stranger. Your thoughts, prayers, and responses have certainly helped me as I grieve the loss of my grandma. I'm still not sure exactly what the plan is going to be but there is a slight chance that my parents will be able to use the little money that my grandma had in her bank account (joint account with my parents) to help us go. It will still involve us driving 10 hours without stops each way or possibly driving there and me flying back with the girls at a later date. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it if I can go. I greatly appreciate all the suggestions about bereavement fairs etc. I used the info to look into possibilities all day today. I'll post again when I know more. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I feel that you are all true friends and appreciate the support during this difficult time.

BIG, big hugs to you. I know that's not much but I really mean it. I am so sorry for your loss. It really sounds like she was something else. :) You were lucky to have her in your life, and from reading what you wrote it totally sounds like she felt the same way about you.

    Peace.

Jessica, so far I have only made it through the first paragraph of your message. You have suffered a heartbreaking loss and I pray you find comfort in your cherished memories and in this beautiful photo of her with Amelia.

    Hugs to you!

    Stephanie
