So, I say the polite thing is to igore the whole situation. DH responds with "okay." What do you do? (And, yes, I must have too much time on my hands!)

I always say "You're excused" auto response programmed very early by my mom. I also say "Thank you." if someone blesses me when I sneeze.

I either ignore it, of if it's improssible to ignore (e.g., someone is speaking to me and making eye contact when it happens) I sort of dip my head a bit as if to say "it's OK, go on."

If it's Payton I say, "Thank you." If it's an adult, I generally ignore it. Unless it's DH, and then I point out Daddy's good manners to Payton :)

I voted nothing but it would not be unheard of to hear "good one" at my house coming from one of the male members LOL

Everything happens for a reason, sometimes the reason is you're stupid and make bad decisions
Growing up, when someone said "excuse me" after burping, we would respond with "certainly". I've continued this out of habit and now the boys say it too.(it's so cute :) )

I work with kids all day. they don't even say excuse me so i am always saying, "excuse you".
i guess i have never thought of this. it made me laugh at the question. i don't think i say anything at all.

Thanks for participating in my silly poll! :-)
If a child says it, I saw "you're excused." Otherwise, I don't say anything.
