Default Best cleaner for stainless steel appliances?

I really don't care for stainless steel but my husband had to have it as our frig and then trashcan. I detest cleaning it because there is always water runs and finger prints. I've tried the green towel from BBB but that doesn't work. Does anyone know of a quick miracle spray cleaner that works well to get it nice and shiny clean?

Believe it or not, a *tiny* bit of plain baby oil on a rag shines it up beautifully.

I've also heard the same thing about WD-40.

Yep, a tiny bit of oil will do it.

eta: oh, and for whatever reason, my terry towels (I have a giant pack from Sam's) work better for streak-free cleaning than my MF towels.

I used the vinegar/water combo and a regular paper towel on our stainless steel trash can and it cleaned up beautifully.

Since one just does not simply walk into Mordor, I say we form a conga line and dance our way in.
Excuse me, are you in a play?

Incidentally, there is a vinegar water combo where you can add a few drops of oil to help have a shine (it's for wood floors and furniture), so I imagine that would work as well. Oh, and club soda is great for streak free shine on windows so perhaps that would work for stainless steel as well?

By the way, I use distilled or filtered water for all these cleaners so that I don't get mineral deposits.
