I just found out about these from a friend. Is it worth the effort? (Seriously, I had no idea. How many packages have I thrown away with ds1?) Do you collect the points, and what exactly have you gotten?

i'm so friggin mad about this i could spit...
i've been collecting them since it started practically and was originally saving up for the free month of blockbuster online...i went to cash in and it was no longer a prize...fine...so i got several of the movie night coupons instead....judst the other day i went on to get another coupon, and that's no longer a prize either! GRRRRR...
otherwrise..it's simpple to do..but you have to find something you actually want...Megs

I don't use any rewards programs. Sure, you can get some stuff but I imagine you also get on tons of mailing lists.
Then again, I am totally not a bargain hunter by nature at all. :)

Keep in mind after all the collecting & enterring points you have to pay *high* (imo) shipping fees. I collected points for several months, tediously enterred them in, & paid $10 shipping for 4 nice Sesame Street books. I could have gotten the books for $10 or $15 & saved the hassle.

I personally think that most of the options are crappy, but I am still obsessed with the whole points thing! Then again, DS isn't into Sesame Street or Dora, so he wouldn't really care about those items. They might be a really cool gift for other DCs.
I am on a mission to get enough points for the Kettrike Brummi. I'm halfway there! I'm sure it won't be there by the time I have collected enough points, though!

Depends on what you want, I guess. I paid less than $15, I think, for shipping of the Kettrike Brummi. I have a lot of friends with DCs in diapers and they saved codes for me, so I could earn enough to get the trike for DD for Christmas. I can see being annoyed at paying $10 shipping for books, though.
