Default when is it safe to give a pillow?

DD is asking for a pillow, and she's 20 mos. Is it ok to give her a full size pillow now, or should I wait? I have one in her crib right now, but I'll take it out when she's in a deep sleep.

Anyone have any opinions about this? I gave DS a pillow around 2 yo, but she's done everything faster than him, so it doesn't surprise me that she's asking for a pillow already.

    TIA for any responses.

I didn't give ds one tll he was out of the crib.

I just did a google search though and this one site says no till they are 24 months:

If you go with one just look for a small, flat one.

Thanks. I didn't realize that there is a product like a toddler pillow, but now I know.

we gave a small pbk toddler pillow around that age and it worked well.
A small pillow might be better because it wouldnt cover their whole head if she got under it.
