Default Getting rid of rashes on the face?

DD is just over 3 weeks old now. She's starting to spit up more and she usually ends up putting her hands all over her face and wiping the milk around before we can clean it up. As a result, she has all sorts of rashes on her cheeks and chin.

We wash her face every day with plain water, but is there something we can do to prevent the rashes? Aquaphor on the skin perhaps?

    Thanks in advance.

My son used to get quite a rash on his cheeks around your daughter's age, and Aquaphor was the solution. I put it on his face at least once a day, sometimes twice a day (but I would pat his face with a wet washcloth first). We are still using it now (he is 7.5 months old now).
    Good luck!

Thanks! I wasn't sure if the Aquaphor would make it better or worse.

We just use (and still do..DD is 7mo) a little dab of Vaseline. It moisturizes the irritated skin and creates a barrier between the drool/spit up and the skin to prevent future rashes. Of course, being vigilant with keeping her face dry is the best defense..HTH
