    Default Cookware sets

I'm getting my mom a set of cookware for mother's day. I want to stay under $250 if possible and I would prefer quality over quantity (son't need a 20 piece set). Any suggestions?

I've been researching some and found Kirkland Signature Hard Anodized Set from Costco gets really good reviews. I'm hoping to toss my Green Pans soon and purchase some. Looks like it's OOS right now online, but their stuff usually comes back in stock quickly. I think it's usually $199.

We've been happy with this Cuisinart set

Looks like they have it for less at Bed Bath & Beyond, and you can probably use a coupon.

I have the Kirkland stainless steel set from Costco and I really like them a lot. They are about $200 for a set. When I bought them I did a ton of research and these got very good reviews from some of the cooking gurus.

Have you found it difficult to cook on/with stainless steel (sticking)?

Cook's Illustrated just did a review of cookware sets this month and they recommended the Tramontina 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set which is available at walmart for about $150. In their tests, it preformed as well as the All-Clad set and Calphalon set which were their other winners but were considerable more expensive.

That is surprising, I must say! Thanks for the tip!

When it comes to cooking with SS cookware (warning not to use high heat) how high is high?
