Default For those who have installed a playset - Q's!!

We are getting down to the details here.....

From what I have read, we are supposed to install the playset first, then put down the mulch, correct?

The set we are getting has a tower with a bottom platform and a top deck. If we are putting in 9-12" of mulch, isn't that going to cover the bottom of the playset? I think the bottom boards are 2x6s, so the mulch around them is going to be higher than the platform? Is that right?

What did you use for edging? I'm looking at the Frame-it-All borders since they are available locally. http://www.frameitall.com/playground-borders.html Any other suggestions?

Those borders are really nice. I would go with them if you can float the bill. We set up the playset, laid the border (we had to use railroad ties), killed the grass under the playset, laid down a weed barrier and then put pea gravel on top of that. This is our playset http://www.rainbowplay.com/index.php...i-best-seller/.

I think we will get the connectors, but use cedar lumber. I haven't priced it compared to RR ties or landscape timbers. I need to find a few kid-free hours to visit all the home improvement stores and I have to drag DH on board kicking and screaming <sigh>. We have until the end of June to get this done (getting a used set and need it gone by then).
