Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
I know, that was a good episode and I can't wait till the next season.
Agreed. Next season isn't until Sept.? I thankfully will forget about it in a week or two.

i had a feeling they were going to end that way with Izzy but I didn't know about George. I figured it out when he was brought in. why do i do this to myself. I CAN"T WAIT FOR NEXT SEASON... it can go either way with both of them. maybe someone can chime in and let us know about thier contracts. i know they were both on the fence.

Honestly, I did not like it at all. They tried to do so much over the top business--- but I don't think they did it effectively. Everything for the last few months has been so predictable-including the wedding last week-gesh. The second the solider opened his mouth and George gave a longing stare, I knew where that was going. And while the mix in with Owen visiting his mom was nice, it wasn't a surprise. And the second they brought in 'John DOe' they made such a huge deal of it---they usually don't know the names or identities of their patients-it was clear who it was. They made such a big deal of that last week, when Lexie was the only one who kept straight who anyone was from the big car wreck. And if that fact that George was the only actor they didn't show immediately wasn't enough they all had a big gab session about George later while operating on John Doe. It was forced and obvious.
I think the beauty of the show is the realness of the emotions--some of that was present last night-Bailey and some with Yang and Meredith. AS a whole I think it missed the mark big time--it's not what it used to be and now with character departures and the mourning that the other characters will either need to go through or skip over with time lapse, it never will be.
I think there will be an extra hour open on my DVR come the fall.
I thought George's hair looked nice in the final elevator scene with Izzy.Other than that it was a bit of an over the top lovefest. Reminded me when my soap Santa Barbara ended in the early 1990's. The last episode they had EVERYTHING, like people coming back from the dead (I was on a deserted island!) and waking from comas, and everybody got married or was having babies. Goofy and didn't keep with the theme of the show.

What was that? It went over DH's and my head.
I really didn't see the George thing coming. I mean, I heard about TR Knight wanting to leave, and I thought the army recruitment was the way they were going to do it. I like all of the Grey characters, but I do feel that TR Knight has been underused. I like his character. I love the show, but I all the noise about unhappy actors is distracting.
OMG, I FELL ASLEEP 30 MINUTES INTO THE SHOW AND MISSED EVERYTHING!!!! Somebody fill me in, please.....
