How can I get this out? Should I soak them in water? First spray with the shout type stuff? It's just a small spot- but I want to do whatever I can to try and get it out without staining.

Pouring a little hydrogen peroxide over/through the spot should take it out.

Or cold water and fels naptha soap (it's a bar soap). Scrub with the bar soap under cold running water. My parents always had a bar on hand and there was more than one teen years visit from AF that caught me by surprise and that soap worked every time.

Gluten free since Nov '11 after non-celiac gluten sensitive diagnosis. Have had great improvement or total elimination of: migraines, bloating/distention, heartburn, cystic acne, canker sores, bleeding gums, eczema on elbows, dry skin and scalp, muscle cramps, PMS, hair loss, heart palpitations, fatigue. I'm amazed.
Another vote for peroxide.

Era detergent. I only use it for this.
Since they're white, oxyclean (powder) and really hot water will take it out. (Might on colors - but the hot water might fade it too.)
Ack! No hot water, not on blood. It sets it. Cold water. Soak it in cold water. And almost any kind of stain remover.
