Default I have some produce questions!

I went to the store hungry this morning and came home and realized I had way overbought on the produce! We're going out of town a week from today and I forgot about that. So, how do you store your fruits and veggies? Which go in the fridge vs. pantry? Lastly, mine has a bin besides the produce bin that is marked "opti-chill". It has a button you can push to put it partial freeze or fruits and veggies. I've honestly never really used it, so I don't know what it's for! Anyway, I want to make this stuff last as long as possible, so I was just curious if there were any tips?

It really depends on the item. Here is a link to my coop farm's info page for vegetable storage and recipes:

If you have some things not covered there, you might be able to get specifics by googling.

I'm finding those produce bags - the plastic ones and esp. the cloth ones are keeping things really fresh!

I got the Green Bags and really like them. They have them at our grocery store, Bed Bath and Beyond (20% off coupon), etc...

The only things I keep in the pantry are potatoes and onions; bananas on the counter. Basically everything else I get goes in the fridge.
