    Default Foot board strollers, p3

I want to buy a stroller with the foot board for a second passenger, I am expecting my second in september and my son will be about 3 1/2. I was hoping someone could tell me thier experience with the foot boards and if the Pre Perego P3 was the only stroller with this. I want something light weight and able to carry a second passenger if needed. Thanks!

I've read many reviews on the P3 and people seem to not love the foot board on the p3- you have to have the seat completely upright and the hood off for it to work. I would get a true add on footboard if your first doesn't need to ride much at all or a double stroller like a bjcmd if you want something compact...

I guess it depends on who you talk to. A lot of people here, myself included, have always loved ours. But, as the PP said, you can't use it when the seat is in full recline. So you can't use it for a newborn and toddler.

The strollers that I know of with integrated footboards are the P3, Zippy and (discontinued) Chicco C1.

I have the P3 and LOVE LOVE LOVE the step. It is by FAR my favorite "double". My DD#1 can use the step even in recline mode. I've never heard anyone say they don't like the P3 step. Yeah, its not huge, but my DD#1 had it figured out before she turned 3.

My P3 will be the last stroller I sell.... Even my DH agrees, it is the best stroller of the ones I've had (17).

I know! I was just thinking today that I needed something lightweight, with a full recline, legrest, huge canopy, front tray or bar, easy and compact fold, and comfy to push. The ones that came to my mind are the ones you mentioned, or the Pliko Switch. The footsteps are just a huge bonus. (The Si' has it all, but no front tray/bar, and the Aria has most, except for only a partial recline, and no legrest!) I know a lot of people stop looking after they get the P3, because it has so many great features!

Yeah, I must have a mental block on the Switch -- even though I covet that stroller. Add that one to my list.

Does the Aria have a footboard? Is that new? I haven't ever been a fan of the Aria, so I don't know if the new ones have a footboard.

The Centro had a footboard, but it really isn't a well made stroller IMO, not on a par at all with other Pegs. I'm not sure if it is even made anymore, I couldn't find it on Pegs website last time I looked.

My toddler loves to use the Valco Hitch Hiker board on our Valco Runabout Trimode. We use it with the seat fully reclined for our 4 month old.

No, no footboard on the Aria or Si'. The Centro was made in China, so you could see the difference comparing it to the Italian made ones. There have been other past models with the footboard, too, like the Roma, Milano, Venezia, Amico Sherpa, etc.
