Default New rec for handheld vac....

I need to replace my old dustbuster... for mostly picking up crumbs and dog hair off hardwood.

I've got a Kone, by dirt devil- got it from my parents for Christmas- it's been working great for the reasons you listed! It stands on the floor in the laundry room, fully charged and ready to conquer anything!

Aren't the Kone & Kurve supposed to work pretty much the same. I purchased a Kurve a couple of years ago for $10 more than the Kone and it sucks (or rather doesnt suck :-)). Will keep an eye on this thread as I need a new one too.

... would love to hear some recommendations as I too am in need of a dustbuster -- mainly for cleaning up highchair floor messes.

I just bought a Dustbuster and have no complaints. I use it mostly for cleaning the highchair and touching up the floor around the highchair.

Pardon my ignorance, but is Dustbuster an actual brand? I just thought it was the type of handheld vac?
