Default problemo with my pliko...please help, stroller gurus!

    Hi Ladies,

I started out really liking my Pliko P3 but now am turning on it...Here are my issues, and what I'm interested in hearing is if they are common with this stroller or if something is wrong with mine specifically

    1. It seems very loose in general-- I can jiggle the handle bars horizontally (left-right and back) several inches each way. But I don't see anywhere specifically where I can tighten screws on the stroller!

    2. It is getting exceedingly hard to push and maneuver. This is worse when we're using it as a travel system with my Primo Viaggio car seat containing my 17lb daughter. It takes a lot of force to turn the stroller or sometimes even to move it forward, because it's hard to get the wheels to turn in the correct direction.

I think those are the main issues.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you ever cleaned or lubed the wheels? Sounds like that would help a lot. Strollers, like cars, require regular maintenance to perform at their best.

    hi strollerqueen,
thanks for the message. i have removed the wheels previously and they seem to spin fine while not attached to the stroller, but i haven't lubed them up. would you recommend just to remove the wheel, spray some WD40 on the pole and then re-insert it again?
    i'm not very technical obviously
    appreciate the help,
    amy

That was exactly what I was going to suggest. This same thing happened to my pegs. The stroller store suggested silcon spray. After we used that, the wheels went back to normal.

It was really annoying while they weren't working, if I was on flat smooth surface it was nearly impossible to turn.

Don't use WD-40, it attracts dirt and can cause more problems. Use silicone spray. You just spray it on where the wheel inserts into the frame, you don't need to remove the wheels to lube.

Wow, thanks for the advice about silicone spray. I hadn't heard of that but I just googled it and it sounds like the perfect solution!

WHen you use the spray, do it in a well ventilated area. Some of those fumes... whew.
