I see them all the time down here in So Cal all the time. As long as it's not a thong or a teeny-tiny triangle number, it doesn't bother me.

I always wear a bikini. I think the last time I wore a one piece was in the 6th grade. If it were me I would probably wear the bikini with a pair of surf shorts. Or wear a bikini with boy shorts. That way you're a little more covered up. However, where I live, bikinis are the norm, regardless of body type, so one wouldn't think to look twice.

I'm cracking up - you have to understand how modest I am with my dress typically!
I have an Athleta swim short and basic halter bikini top. And another bandeau style which nothing can pop out of - not that I have much to pop out.
Funnily enough, I was thinking La Petite Baleen swim lessons - in the Presidio though. So far, have never seen a grown woman at an SF pool in a bikini.

I *always* wear a bikini to the pool with DD. Because when I am 70 I will wish I had
Don't know about the Presidio, but at LPB in San Bruno, I've seen a mom in a bikini just once. She did stand out to me among all the one-pieces, but only because I was wishing that I still had the body to wear a bikini. I say go for it, because I personally wouldn't want to shell out extra money to buy a one piece just to be used for swim lessons.

I say yay. As long as you aren't flashing anyone.
