Default grobag vs. halo sleep sack?

we have halo fleece sleep sacks for ds2. wondering if the grobag in a tog of 2.5 would be warmer than a sleepsack. increased warmth is really the only reason i want to upgrade.

we have many sleepsacks in all sizes from ds1. but ds2 seems to run much cooler.

I don't know anything about grobags, but we use two sleepsacks when it gets colder. Works great.

The Grobag 2.5 is nothing like a Halo Sleepsack! It's much, much warmer and is padded. It's an awesome blanket. I just got a few from the mamabargains deal and am very happy with them! My new baby runs much cooler, too, so these are great for him. The Sleepsacks I have weren't cutting it.

I imagine the 2.5 tog would be warmer than a halo fleece sleepsack. As pp mentioned, the grobags have multiple layers and are much more like a quilt or sleeping bag. I ordered a few 1 tog and 2.5 tog grobags from mamabargains and I'm loving them (as is DD.) It's still too warm here for the 2.5 tog but she's been sleeping in the lighter grobags. It was amazing to see the difference when I got them though. The 2.5 tog really is pretty thick and very warm looking!

Grobags are SO much nicer. To me, they are like a nice comforter; great for a variety of temperatures, whereas the halo sacks sometimes made my girls sweaty when it wasn't cold and weren't warm enough when it WAS cold. Not sure that made sense, but having used both we much prefer Grobags.

Yay! I'm glad you got them! Last time they were on was a fiasco -- the site kept crashing for hours, and the server eventually went down. It was crazy!

Is the 1.0 tog more similar in weight to a Halo Sleepsack? We've been really happy with them, but I want to try these (particularly now that my daughter is over 2 and growing out of her sleepsack).

    Thanks!
